My name is Thomas Vogel. Currently working as a Lead Character Artist for Ubisoft Blue Byte, Duesseldorf.

I have been working in the games industry since 2007. My focus is working on games that involve interesting character art or simply character-heavy titles.

I enjoyed computer games since I was a child
so I decided to follow my passion and move into the game industry to create digital characters.

I graduated 2009 with the Bachelor of Science at the Beuth university Berlin.

I love computer technology and arts. The best way to fuse these hobbies together was through digital art.
So far I am entirely self-taught in the field of digital art.
Besides my path I’m keen to learn new techniques and I'm willing to push the technical limitations for next gen realtime content.

I am specialized in 3D-modeling, sculpting, texturing and rendering for realtime characters.
My favoured tools are: Maya, 3DS Max, Zbrush, Unreal Engine, Photoshop and Bodypaints.
Lifedrawing is one of my favourite lifestudies besides the 3D focus.

I love drifting through the streets and get inspired by the real world.
However, my inspiration pool fills with new visions and ideas from day to day.

Besides playing games, sport is one of the most important activities in my life. I like to play soccer, basketball and squash.

I am open for educational and career opportunities as I am eager to improve my skills.
