My name is Thomas Vogel and I am a 3D artist in the field of game development. I am currently working as a Character Artist at Rocketbox Studios in Hannover/Germany. Besides my work I participate on a Mod Project which bear the name Renegade-X. The mod was distinguished with the #5 place of the Mod of the Year Award 2009.

I will update my gallery in a couple of weeks, actually there isn’t  enough freetime to rebuild the whole thing. If you like some of my works feel free to contact me.

The Game  is a next-gen real time strategy game, in which you fight epic battles with your friends. What makes BattleForge special
is that you can assemble your army yourself: the units, buildings and spells in BattleForge are represented by collectible cards that you can trade with other players.
I worked in the quality assurance department very close with leveldesigners to ensure that the gameplay and balancing is on a very high state.

I enjoyed working with the great team of EA Phenomic based in Ingelheim, Germany. It was a great time and I met many professional people who all worked very hard and eager.
I relocate back to Berlin in the next month to finish my Bachelor thesis about the process of creating 3D characters.

I will post  further updates whenI have made more progress.

I entered the competion this Year. After two years of personal traning it is time to compete with other artists.
Personally it is more a side project as a challenge. My mainfocus lays on my Bachelor Thesis about the Character creation process for relatime Applikations.

About the Challenge:

I decided to go with Odin from the Norse mythologie. It is a while back since the character strifes through my mind but today i put the sails and moved in.
Odin is a god of war and death, but also the god of wisdom. He is the ruler of the main capital City from the northern people, the town is called Asgard.

A simple refference collection for the challenge:

I am not sure how to go with him but i think to replace him in the timelime more in our century.
I will add some WIP images after I mad further progress.
